From September 3-7, recent works by Francesca Martí will be exhibited at the booth of Pyo Gallery at the 20th edition of KIAF (Korea International Art Fair) in Seoul. These artworks include a new series of mixed media photographs in polycarbonate boxes, with small, painted Believers sculptures shown in natural settings or traversing dynamic cities, including Seoul, as seen in the work Resurgence. These figures migrate in different directions. They walk in single file or carry enlarged rose petals and huge dew-drops, or they are shown amidst swerving colours and out-of-focus lights, frozen in high-speed, futuristic streetscapes.

Taking place at the COEX exhibition centre, KIAF Seoul is South Korea’s first international art fair, held since 2002. With the rapid growth of Seoul as a global art city, KIAF presents modern and contemporary art in one place as a bridge to connect the Korean art market with international cultural trends. Pyo has been a participating gallery at KIAF since the early 2000s.
